It all begins with the quality of your conduit…

Tyler Madison Conduit:

  • Fewer Splices, Less Waste: Splices occur every 1000-2,000 feet, ensuring more usable length and less waste.
  • Consistent Outer Coating: Features a uniform polymer thickness, providing exceptional durability and flexibility.
  • Superior Quality, More Durable: Excellent for high performance applications
  • Cost Effective: Through our partnerships, we’re able to provide superior conduit at a very competitive price, making it a smarter choice for bulk purchases and high-performance applications.

Industry Standard Conduit:

  • More Splices, More Waste: Splices every 150-200 feet lead to 12x more waste and reduced efficiency.
  • Inconsistent Coating: Inconsistent coating can result in cracks and reduced flexibility, compromising performance.
  • More Expensive, Lower Quality: When it comes to control cable assemblies, the quality of the conduit used can make or break the functionality and durability of the finished product.

Lined Bowden Conduit

Lined Bowden conduit features a flexible plastic liner inside the tightly wound spring, significantly reducing friction and ensuring instant, smooth response—even in harsh weather conditions where moisture and corrosion could pose a problem. Common liner materials include High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE), Nylon, Teflon, or other specialized materials tailored to specific applications. The added flexibility of the liner enhances the conduit’s low-friction performance, allowing for tighter routing without the risk of kinking, a challenge often encountered with standard wound Bowden conduits. Lined Bowden conduit can be encased in a flexible outer shield to protect the tightly wound spring from environmental exposure while also providing an aesthetic finish.

Bowden Conduit (Unlined)

Bowden conduit is a small-diameter, tightly wound spring with enough initial tension to remain straight. This flexible spring can bend in any direction, allowing 360-degree movement around its linear axis. When a small-diameter aircraft cable is routed through the Bowden conduit, the assembly enables remote mechanical operation, allowing an operator to control a movable linkage or mechanism from a distance.

Braided Conduit

In the cable industry braided conduit is typically made with specialty polymers encasing small braided wires. This gives braided motion control conduits added durability and flexibility in unique applications and environments where the end user wants to reduce any exposed metal to a minimum. Great in marine, caustic or extreme outdoor environments.

For example: We used braided conduit to develop a deployment cable for an avalanche backpack system. We chose specialized polymer that wouldn’t crack at 30 below zero for our braided conduit.

Braided Conduit is great for exotic environments and applications but is more expensive and almost always custom made. Let us know if you are interested in exploring this premium option for your application.

Nylon/PVC Tubing

Often the most basic and lowest cost solution, depending on the polymer. Has a risk of cracking, and isn’t meant to be bend or stressed much. We highly recommend the HDPE coated and lined conduit above if you are considering Nylon/PVC tubing. However, we can source this option if the print calls for it.

Cable Conduits

A variety of quality metal cable conduit and sheathing are available from Tyler Madison, Inc. All custom conduit and sheathing are made from galvanized music wire with or without coating and a variety of other materials.

conduit

Modern applications require control cable products to operate, oftentimes in rugged environments. Conduit protects the inner wire from impact, damage, moisture, and allows it to transfer physical force along a distance. Adding these coverings ensures enhanced durability and performance.

Custom Cable & Wire Conduits

All custom conduit and sheathing are made from galvanized music wire with or without covering and made from a variety of materials. Other sizes of corrugated conduit and custom steel cable conduit fittings have longer lead times depending upon size and quantity. We’re also able to provide flexible cable conduit. Learn more about our standard end fittings and terminals for our metal conduit.

Custom & Stock Sheathing

Stock sheathing is readily available for conduit protection. Other sizes of metal cable conduit fittings have longer lead times depending upon size and quantity.
