Measuring Points of a Cable Assembly

The following are examples of the standard cable measurement points we use in our shop.

Here are some examples of the lingo we use in house to describe measuring points.

  • “Measuring from weight bearing point on loop to end of ball
  • “Measuring from center of pinhole to end of threaded stud
  • “Measuring from pinhole to pinhole(infers center of pinhole)”
  • “Measuring from weight bearing to weight bearing”

People all around the country use language differently to describe manufacturing terms. In an effort to standardize this, increase precision and eliminate mistakes we use cable measuring points. Learn more about custom-designed cable assemblies and recommended tolerances today.
